Blue Planet Aquaricycline Tabs is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used for the treatment of diseases caused by tetracycline-sensitive bacteria in ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish. It is active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Aeromonas and Pseudomonas sp. At the recommended dose rate, Aquari-Cycline is bacteriostatic against bacterial septicaemia, coldwater disease, columnaris disease (mouth fungus, cottonwool disease), furunculosis, and fin and tail rot. Aquaricycline is a trusted choice of fish aquarium disease treatment for aquarium hobbyists seeking reliable infection treatment for their ornamental fish.

Treatment at the recommended dose rate for three days with subsequent partial water changes has not effected nitrification. However prolonged treatment of mature aquariums with antibiotics will affect nitrifying bacteria. The use of a separate treatment tank is recommended where only a few fish are infected.

Each tablet contains 375mg Tetracycline Hydrochloride (equivalent to 346mg/kg of Tetracycline).

Directions for use:

  • NOT TO BE USED ON FISH INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
  • Use 1 tablet per 20 litres of fresh water.
  • Remove activated carbon from the filtration system and slow flow rate to sub-gravel while the treatment is still in process. Aerate the tank vigorously and maintain stable pH, temperature, and salinity levels. For best outcomes, use a separate hospital tank to isolate affected fish.
  • Pre-dissolve the tablets in a disposable cup before adding to the aquarium water.
  • Replace the water in the aquarium after treatment.
  • DO NOT OVERDOSE.
