Aquasonic Ichonex

Aquasonic Ichonex 250ml is a copper-based medication formulated for the treatment of whitespot (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis) and velvet disease in freshwater aquariums. It provides an effective, fast-acting solution without staining or harsh toxicity.

Note: Not suitable for use with shrimp, catfish, or sensitive species due to copper content.

When to Use

• Fish show signs of whitespot (Ich) or velvet disease.
• Infected fish display white spots, flashing, or rubbing against surfaces.
• The copper component is more toxic at low pH, best to keep freshwater aquariums with stable pH (≥7.5).

How to Use

• Day 1: Add 5mL per 40 litres of aquarium water.
• Days 2 & 3: Add 2.5mL per 40 litres (half dose).
• For best results, divide each daily dose in half and add twice daily (morning and night).
• Optional Enhancements: Raising the temperature by 2-3 degree celsius will also assist with shortening the life cycle of the parasite thereby targeting the affected stage of ich life cycle, more effectively.
